Yesterday, Sunday, October 10th!
About 4:45p.m. I took off for the same little lake I swam in last year in the Fall, broke my little "how late can I swim" record 'cause last year it was September 26th. (-: See HERE. I say "my little record," since the son of one of my friends will very likely be jumping in a lake after my grand October 10th date...and trust me that that's not in the back of my mind that he'll likely beat my record...again...so we just might, might, have another, "Really NOTHING beats a November Lake Swim!" post . . . but the chances aren't high! Haha!
I really, really, really was just beaming from ear to ear...well as far as those rather full cheeks would allow the grin to go, hahaha . . . as I was out there, amazed at the peaceful, warm, sunny beauty of it all. I swam a little, floated a lot, closed my eyes and just let the sun shine all over my face while floating on my tube. It Was Glorious! I did all that for about 40 minutes, then I went back for the phone, yep...brought my phone out to about the middle of the lake, for some summary of the swim pics.
It was really bright and sunny in this direction, it's just the camera thing taking pics into the sun that darkened it all up. This really is a delightful little lake. There were others there when I arrived, which surprised me a little, three kids, maybe five adults swimming in various places on the lake, some kayakers, but I outlasted them all minus one lady who swam the entire loop of the lake. She amazed me...I told her so. (-:
So, so, so beautiful, lovely and amazing!
I told myself while soaking in that sun all over my face that that moment will bring me all the way through the winter months to come. Let's see how it goes. (-:
