Today was just peachy . . .

It is amazing what one can do in their own home when not playing the dual role of Mom/Camp Counselor (again...kids...great time had by all the last three months...I'm just sayin'). Today we met with an insurance agent, played t-ball in the driveway, trimmed a row of hedges, washed out the garbage can and...

Remember that big bag o' peaches? I did end up getting two batches of 6 cups frozen and today decided to make my first peach pie ever (I need practice fluting, I think that's what it's called). Even the gal that says she doesn't like cooked peaches enjoyed two pieces of pie. I picked the kids up from school and we headed right to the lake (only five days left until it closes) for the afternoon and through dinner.
It was a gorgeous day!

Even though the quality is horrible (zooming with my little Cannon) I wanted to share this quintessential "boys at the lake" pic. Someone had a dead snake and they wanted to chuck it back into the lake. Not a girl around!

You'd think they'd at least throw it a little farther away than that!

You have inspired me to bake a pie. I love baking pies for some reason. Must be a comfort, down home, how can anything go wrong when homemade pie is around thing. ;-) I'll let you know what kind I end up making.
