First birthday with the chalkboard wall!

After our lasagna dinner with delicious salads from Buca brought by G-ma and G-pa and newly discovered garlic bread knots, we heard a performance of Livia's, "Canon in D" on the piano and then we dug into a chocolate cake with boston cream filling...Wuh-OW!
Took a couple tries to get ALL those candles out!
Worked into the night last night prepping two lasagnas from an Oct. '18 Martha Stewart Living magazine https://www.marthastewart.com/ultimate-lasagna-tips that I had a page ripped out from hanging around in my recipes zip-lock bag. Never made them before...always risky making a new recipe for a crowd, but it worked! Worked into the night because while making these beauties I also managed to decide to make some fried rice and a slab of baby back ribs, some of Harrison's favorites. Big food weekend for the 16th birthday it turned out.
Oh...also...whoo-hoo...he went and passed his driver's test yesterday and is all ready for the next step into driving...he's all ready...not sure exactly where I'm standing on that...😁
