This.Was.Yesterday.
It was a Happy Saturday too and I was so deliriously in awe of the sunshine, I sat in a patch of it like a cat for quite a good while and forgot that I wanted to post this. But...today is a full on January day, frosty, gray and cold without the excitement of fresh snow so...this is a perfect picture for me today!
Today we'll be doing online church, first time in a long time. I couldn't fall back asleep after being woken up by kids going to bed later than I, so I (let myself) overslept. Doing a hockey practice run, passing some chicken alfredo lasagna off to my brothers, playing Ziggity (card game Liv and I discovered at the house) and Aggravation with Liv, I think watching a remade Jack and the Beanstalk movie (which would be out of the ordinary for a Sunday around here for whatever reason, but it's so cold and gray it could happen) and getting ready for Monday. Chill kinda day!
Oh, And listening to this favorite that I haven't had the pleasure of performing in a loooonnnnngggg time and hope I can some time soon. Gabriel Faure's, Requiem. Here's a link to one of the best US choirs performing it, though unfortunately, it's a CD recording and not their actual performance. You're going to want to at least hear the In Paradisum and the Pie Jesu movements if not the entire piece.
Many Blessings on your week to come! I am recently giving great praise and thanksgiving for some positive and uplifting steps happening for one of our struggling ones, my heart is filled with hope! 💜 Please join me in giving prayers of thanksgiving for this good news!
