I Smelled Earth! . . .

Um . . . come again?
Oh, the verse image isn't really related to today's title.
Though, I suppose, it sure looks like earth!
I just kinda love this picture and wanted that above my blathering on.
(-;
So...what's that...I Smelled Earth???
YES!
I did!
Tonight, on an 8pm jaunt to the mailbox, I inhaled and smelled...shhhh...quiet now, and I know it's absurd in mid-January, in these here parts, to even suggest such a thing...but I smelled...a waft of...
Spring!

Yep, I said it.
And I know it's not really Spring, but it's that smell when it really comes, of, wet, beautiful,
EARTH.

You see, it's been 2-5 degrees around here lately.
It's been "get a headache from the wind hitting your forehead" cold.
I'm not such a fan really.

But today, it took a spike up to 36-ish and the snow got melty, and it felt delightful and well, as I walked through my melting yard, with large patches of grass showing, and mud all over our dirt roads....
Well...
I smelled fresh, lovely, Earth!

It was Divine and hopeful and . . .

I don't know, just great!

I guess that's about it!

The pic is from Monday morning's drive home from school drop offs.
Another one with the most amazing sunrise over "my" farmers field that I couldn't exactly translate to a photo, but it did it's best, and I kinda got those rays in the bottom.

Ok, chow.
(I really thought I was just going to explain all that above "I smelled Earth" business in a sentence or two, hahahaha!)
