Let's Be Me! . . .

I mean, who else am I gonna be, am I right?
(-:
Hung this sign last year, never once saw that.

Hung this one last year too for November.
Never saw, "Her Grateful Heart," last year either.

This year . . .

Say what?

"Her Grateful Heart"
"Let's Be Me"

Sorry but, it's giving me quite a chuckle.
Not sure about you.

If anyone's gonna be me, it's sure gonna be me.
You see, it was mapped out for me quite clearly in HS, well likely before then too, I just didn't get "voted" it before then. (-:
The time, as a senior, when all the votes for who will be this or who will be that upon graduation or who is already the funniest, the most studious, or...in my case...voted...

Most Unique!

What? Me?
Hahahaha!

I'll tell you what, back when "it matters" how to fit in, "unique" isn't really the word you're looking for. But, oh, let me tell you that since HS, I get such a blast out of proclaiming..."You know...I was voted most unique after all!" (-:  I enjoy that one just about as much as "You know...I was after all in the Optimist Club in HS!" Hahahaha! Yep...Let's Be Me!

Now, today, during my swim, whoa...I kept cracking up, shaking my head, stopping to sing along and at one point finally getting out of the pool to write a note on my phone so I wouldn't forget what I was hearing. Maybe it won't resonate with my now 1.5 readers, hahaha, as it did with me but, boy oh boy...the pool's playlist today, crazy!

Here we go. . .

(Note, if you actually follow the links and listen to the words or meanings in any of the songs, please know that I've never likely even heard/understood all the words of these songs, and quite likely have no idea what they're singing about, I've always been very black&white with pop music, like, here's the beat and the chorus, do you like it or not (actually, I just checked the lyrics to one of the songs and, while not vulgar or anything, I never heard those words in my life and I've "sung" the song a million times, crazy!) ...ok public service announcement made, I'm not speaking to any depth or meaning of the actual songs.

First...I'm sitting on the edge of the pool getting my goggles and swim cap adjusted when "Shallow" comes on . . . Yes, I was in the shallow end of the pool . . . (-:

Second...I pop up from my first stretch, 12 laps freestyle to..."Believer" which...I don't think it's a surprise to any readers of this blog, I am! (-:

Third...head pops out of the water to a chorus of "Never give up" can't remember the song title now, but on my fridge is a magnite that reads:
Never
Never
Never
give
up.
So, yeah...kind of a little theme of mine. (-:

Fourth...another one I can't remember the song to these lyrics I heard "Freedom is for everyone" which also had the lyrics, "It comes in waves." Double meaning on that last one being in the pool and all (-: but though very far in between now, it does still come in waves.

Fifth..."Don't Put the Blame on Me." Hahaha...for those of you in the know with SP & I, WHOA, hey??!! Great song by the way, called "Human."

Sixth...No idea what the song is, but as a mom this caught my ear pretty solidly..."Your momma raised you better than that."

And Lastly...as I hop out of the pool after a FANTASTIC swim, a mile that ended with two, 100 IM's (Fly, Back, Breast, Free), that were about to kill me and I had to literally remind myself, over and over while flapping through the pool that I swam more than that over the summer in order to finish...a favorite of mine since I first heard it...in 2015 of all the years..."Fight Song."

Ok...quite long enough for sure, but I'm telling you, all of those were in order of what I heard every time my head came out of the water after this set or that set of swims and I was just cracking up by the end of it!
