I'm SO excited because today is 11-20 2020! . . .

2 0 2 0

Yes, yes . . . I know . . . 2020 . . . pandemic, elections, suffering, great hardships . . . and it's not like I don't have a heart for those who've been put to the absolute test and more this year, but, today . . . our good ol' 11/20. . . I think I'm going to just be happy about the year, K?
(-:
Because...how often on our fun day of birthdays, where it's everyone and their brother's birthday (not kidding...it's my primary doctor's brother's birthday...hahaha!), do I not only get 11/20
but I also get,
2020!
And to top the whole thing totally off,
I got to turn
50
on
11/20
2020

Well, my goodness, He sure does doesn't he?
How perfectly, perfect for this very verse to arrive today by actual mail while I was just delighting in a date, some numbers on a calendar page. Even that little ol' thing just brought me smiles throughout the day. And the outside of this card is so beautiful, sent by Pastor F, so touched with joy!

11/20 . . . 2020
Let's get to it!

Birthday #1

Birthday #2

Birthday #3

Someday I might take on the challenge of finding all the 11/20 birthdays I know and bring them all over to my favorite 11/20 spot! Ooooo....sounds fun, hmmmmmm!

Trying to stay social distanced!
I may have been the most excited one about this photo shoot . . .well, ok...I was, let's just admit it, hahaha...but we pulled it off. At my favorite address sign on one of the busiest interior arteries into downtown, I managed not to totally mortify our newly minted 11 year old and dad was just the trooper of the dad that he always is, "ya mind doin' this dad?" "can ya run and do that dad?"  . . . "Ok," "Sure," "What time?" is how that trooper replies! 💜
Photo cred: Brother J!

Picture hanging on the fridge. 💜
I think this was 2015 judging by the clothes.
I looked back in the blog and it's not posted but, what was posted was how mild it was as she learned to ride her birthday bike in December with the warm temps.

Simple Gratitude
  • Thee absolutely most gorgeous weather today, sunshine all day long and temps in the 60's.
  • The teaching schedule I gave myself this year with Friday mornings off.
  • Birthday boots bought on Monday morning before teaching, eggplant color, Nextdoor app resale. I get a kick out of every single one of those details, especially my "chilax lady," enthusiastic babble, telling some stranger on a Monday morning how excited I was to kick off my 50th birthday week with the eggplant colored rain/work boots she just sold me!
  • I got to start my birthday with a great cup of coffee and a morning fire, completing finally the disposal of the many, many pumpkin vines left from the season!

And then, by 7:30p.m. tonight, after finishing teaching and running errands, I waltzed into a little strip mall middle eastern restaurant I like, that's tucked away and had no one in it tonight but two employees...and announced to the guy at the counter in my typical crazy grandeur . . . "Hi there! Today's my 50th birthday and I've come here for my 50th birthday dinner, so . . . let's make it a great one shall we!!"
I crack myself up still retelling this to myself, what a nut!
The guy eventually got me, warmed up to me to me shall we say, but he was a little stumped for a bit and did actually ask where my husband was . . . that gave me a bit more of a laugh and by the end of it all . . . he was sending me home with a little fridge magnet with one of those sweet little air plants that I've actually always wanted to try (he pulled it off his Coke fridge) and a couple pieces of complimentary baklava!

What a fun day this was!

Find Joy my friends.
Seek it, it will turn up.
It's so worth it!
