Happy Sunday . . . How's about we start some Simple Gratitude? . . .

Wanted to try an artsy angle with the November "shed" sign that I put up in the dark last night after Halloweening. And just now...as I posted it to this space, what catches my eye but . . .
"Her Grateful Heart."
See it?
(-:

Perfect! Because before that even caught my eye, I decided that throughout November (kinda cliche, I know but we'll do it anyway), I'll post a few Simple Gratitudes at the end of my posts and maybe it'll inspire you to reflect on a few Simple Gratitudes from your day. I kinda look at the idea of a Simple Gratitude as the smaller things from your day that sometime we'll overlook but really, those little things can add to having a more peaceful, settled end of your day even if it was filled with difficulties, large or small.

Before we get to that, here's today's Verse of the Day from the Bible App. set on top of my "end of the year" swim pic posted in September.

Simple Gratitudes

Without knowing today's weather included high winds, big drop in temps and too many snow flurries...I am so grateful for the time I had available yesterday to have finished 90% of the yard and gardens winter prep in sunny, 50 degree temps!! Yay!

I am SO GRATEFUL to have a working generator, strong enough to keep much of the house humming along, during a strange, my house only, couple days of partial power (partial being...the kitchen, ugh!). Hopefully to be resolved tomorrow.

Today I've been grateful for, and have literally smiled each time . . . the sun has peaked out. (-:

You know, or maybe you don't, when the prettiness of blogs and social media is turned off, I could still to this day sit and write a list with many lines about pains and heartaches and troubles and sorrows and fears and concerns and difficulties and . . . and . . . that list could likely just spew out, long and quick. But . . . you know who would take great glee at myself or anyone spending time on lists like that, written down or just weighing heavily on one's heart and mind? Yes, the wicked adversary, the accuser, the old serpent, Satan himself. He would be in his glory knowing we wallow in hurt and pain, fear and trepidation, broken relationships and more, listing and holding on to wrongs done us and guilt for wrongs done to others. But, my friends, what Glory have we so selflessly been given to rip up any such lists being written by pen or kept in mind!! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has defeated the devil, he has destroyed him that had the power of death and has given us such an incredible gift as eternal salvation! When something as profound and beyond an earthly understanding has been gifted us, I am drawn to live in a place of great gratitude and let that horrible creature of wreckage stay defeated and off my back! It's not the easiest, but we have the Armor to take on the challenge!

Wishing you a blessed week observing Simple Gratitudes each day!
