Let's get this garden started . . .

Decided to try some seeds this year.
We shall see...

Still an asparagus crop of 2 or 3 at a time that I eat right from the garden.
Believe it or not, they're quite tasty fresh picked.
Had my first two today.

 Rhubarb's ready for something.
What will it be this year???

Between planting and finding these awesome place signs in the garage a week or so later...
I forgot what I planted there.
Yep!
(Insert eye-ball rolling emoji from my phone that blogger doesn't have)
Ha!

Been working on this project over the last month.
Pretty excited about not weeding there this year!
Dug it all up, including some purple spiderwort that was left over from the first time we lived here in 2000! That stuff is invasive, let me tell you. But, I saved some anyway, that's just how I am with plants. I show no mercy to chopping it back though. (-: Laid down the no-weed cloth stuff, got the chips and edging from Aldi's (while grocery shopping...) the night Gretch said no more buying mulch the next day. Staked and ready for weed season, bring it!

Top part that rounds the corner to the house leads to a new veggie section that I've plowed/shoveled up. The garage is currently a staging area for many new veggies this year!

Just thought this was pretty one evening earlier this week...before the snow started flying again and 40 degree temps! Regardless, I got out today for a smidge and finally moved the top growth of Ben's confirmation clematis so it will now vine up the front, top of the shed. I got ladders, drills, rope, ended up cleaning the garage looking for hooks, ended up with circle screw things (eye somethings?) that were perfect and got the job done!  It's always pretty rewarding to have been on a ladder, with a drill that you finally remembered how to put the drill bit in without William's help, and have the job just work. So many jobs don't, so, it was a sweet treat and relief! (-:
