A few years ago . . .

After this inspiring talk on getting one's stuff organized, I was gung-ho to go home and organize my kitchen drawers. 

This week . . . I finally did it!

Hahahahahahahaha . . . 

Here are some of the gems I found:

I saved this because I really, really wanted to go see the state's 1st urban state park...I mean really, really  wanted to check it out. And then, BOOM . . . nine years flew by!!  Say what?? I cut that out nine years ago??? I mean, some quotes in the article are from a glowing, proud young mayor who has now been locked up in jail for some time and this 1st urban state park is in the first major bankrupt city in the country! Hmmm...maybe we'll go check it out next week!

Now this article I cut out because at one time I had a dream of studying orchestral conducting.  The article spoke of the new female conductor of a local orchestra and I was hoping to catch a concert or two.  Couple funny things about this find.  First, does anyone else find it amusing that I had a dream of studying orchestral conducting while having never played a string instrument in my life and having received a choral music degree, not even an instrumental degree of some kind?  No? No one finds that amusing?  Well, it gives me a giggle. (-:  Secondly, I googled the conductor and it turns out it's been SIX YEARS since she conducted this orchestra, oh brother!!!

I s'pose it's time to toss this seven year expired chance to get 40 extra game tokens for only $10.00 Ya snooze ya loose!

I'm thinking it's time to let go of the dream of making Spicy Gingerbread Twigs,

Or

 Orange-Ginger Pomegranate Punch!

Hahaha!

So glad to have had that boost of motivation a few years ago!

And, I guess that's just about as fitting a subject as anything else on this wacky site.
