He is a Shield to those who take refuge in Him! . . .

Oh my goodness how I LOVE the imagery of the shield to those who take refuge in Him. I can give testimony of the absolute truth to this verse reflecting upon my last seven years. How grateful and blessed are we, the children of God. Undeserving from our sinfulness which creeps in time and time again but loved, forgiven, made whiter than snow just the same.

I am so glad that our Father in heav'n
Tells of His love in the Book He has giv'n;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see;
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.

Though I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me whenever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms would I flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.

Oh, if there's only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be:
"Oh, what a wonder the Jesus loves me."

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.

The picture is of some kind of moss variety (I think it's a moss??) that has grown up between the cracks of my UP slab stone walkway in my front of the garage garden. Little girls just LOVE this garden and it's walkway, they tell me when they come in to lessons...and I do too! (-:

Postscript: My moss is a 2013 AWARD WINNING MOSS of the YEAR! Ha! A new to me iphone feature in which the phone can identify plants you take pictures of helped me discover this. It's name is Marchantia polymorpha from the "large thalloid liverwort" family. Don'tcha know! (-:
