What's up with my ugly but delicious food? . . .

I'm now trying to beautify the impossible with pretty plates.
(Roasted zucchini and sliced garlic, seasoned with olive oil, kosher salt, pepper and dill, I could eat an entire pan!)

The plates aren't working. But they sure are pretty. (-:
(Slow cooked in the oven pork shoulder, leftovers eaten as breakfast with an egg)

Not even my attempt at a fan of avocado could class up the joint, hahaha!

Tried a new product...and no...my six readers and I are not receiving any type of commision or advertising incentives for this announcement, hahaha!
For shredded pork I usually throw a pork loin into the slow cooker with a yummy bbq sauce. It comes out well and we're always satisfied. I'm not usually someone who is a fan of sauces in packets like this, I have no idea why, but I'm just not. And, as I type this I thought to myself..."Self, what's the difference between sauce in a plastic packet or sauce in a plastic jar?" Self was not able to give a good answer. Personally, I am just leary of anything stored in plastic and I try to avoid it as much as possible. Anyhoo...I gave this a try because I was sucked in by "Lime & Chipotle" on the front. And, I'm glad I was. This recipe called for the juicier/fattier pork shoulder (though I did cut loads of the fat off because when I say "slow cook" I thought it was going into the slow cooker. The recipe on the back below shows us that's not the case. I was glad to be able to try this form of slow cooking my pork and will try to resort to it more when I have time to be home because it really was a superior pork flavor and texture to the slow cooker.
You can find anything on the internet these days!
