Snow, Snow, Snow . . .

Returning from a swim last week before darting off to teach.
"My" farmers field bathed in snow.
💜

So...I mentioned that our fun weekend last weekend began with our car getting towed from the driveway. Yeah, but, you know, it was good that we didn't have to deal with those repairs and breakdown on the road, right? Right! Absolutely! Well, it turned out that we ended up being offered our neighbors truck since her husband was out of town (he sanctioned it too, haha!) and we made it up for the weekend anyway. Little later than expected and with a second tow truck put to use during that drive but it is what it is. Safe and sound and great fun had by all!

William's second run at the jump on Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Also titled, "The time William lost his airpod!"

I was loving these little, tree snowballs while we stayed at our perch atop a hill overlooking Crystal Lake.

We had a pretty cold year this year, but much of our fun is hanging with our friends in the BIG, cozy house with the BIG, cozy fireplace. I romped around the outside for a bit after our "much shorter this year" trip to Sleeping Bear for sledding.

The owners of the house call it "His High Birches."

We burnt through LOTS of wood last weekend!

Back home on the ranch late Monday afternoon (hahaha, really, my house is a ranch), just in time for our big snow storm Monday night, giving Livia a real snow day the next day and William (who's 100% online schooling still) a virtual snow day. For real, the superintendent wrote in and said they needed it. After they just had a four day weekend for winter break. Every time I think I've seen it all...a virtual snow day for kids and staff that don't drive to school. Yup! (-:

I must say, it's awesome my snowblower was prepped and ready for this winter weather after all. Was looking a little light earlier this winter. AND...I must say, I do believe having paid for roadside assistance/towing over these last few years in my auto insurance paid for itself last weekend too. Yee-haw!
