Started the day with some strawberry, birthday muffins before church.
She did mention that she thought maybe the house would be a little more decorated if we were having the party at our house today...to which I thought about myself last night at 10:40p.m. blowing up balloons in the basement with the helium container, tying them to a "Happy Birthday" balloon weight, curling the ribbons, setting it on the table with the "Birthday Girl" crown, taping two sets of "Happy Birthday" garland, one with Lara's designed "Livia" name below it on the hallway wall so she'd see it the minute she walked out of her room and then the balloon garland under the other "Happy Birthday" garland pictured above...."Mmmm, hmmm" I replied with a head shake and a smile, I'm sure it would have been SO much more decorated had I been hosting the party...(-;
As mentioned earlier, some mom's of kids in her class had a heart for Liv and her birthday time this particular year and wanted to give her the best birthday ever...and they sure did.
"So, who's the birthday girl here?" says the Clown.
"I am!" she said with great enthusiasm.
Boy, do I love that about her.
I would have crawled under a table if I had all this attention at age 7.
I grew into her enthusiasm and energy around eighth grade after meeting my new friend Chris who was like Livia, not like me. Some how we clicked and she drew me right out of my previous 13 years of shyness...whew...
(-:
What I love about this picture is the sweetness in the gaze of her little classmate as he watches Livia enjoy her cake, candles and being sung to.
A sweet friend of mine made this beautiful and delicious cake. There is a second grade enthusiasm for all things dogs and puppies right now so Livia had a "Dog gone good time" of a party.
The continued comfort and care is almost beyond comprehension.
Praise God from whom all Blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below,
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
