last night how we NE-VER have dessert after dinner! Did you know, some families have dessert after EV-E-RY dinner??!! So I replied, well in order to have dessert you're going to have to make it, because that's just not something I do. I should have known who I was talking to because...a short time later . . .
Forty of the MOST buttery, flaky, melt-in-your mouth delicious shortbread bars were sitting on my counter, tempting me to eat just one (they won!).
Lara's technique to finding these great recipes (recall her chocolate chip banana bread, side bar link) is to go to the computer, type in something like "the most delicious shortbread cookies ever" and then scan through the results picking the one that most suits her fancy.
This girl has got a great eye for recipes!!!
(FYI, to jazz these up we're thinking of adding some orange zest and drizzling with strips of melted chocolate next time...mmmmm...)
