And now . . .

A little bit of nature!

I headed toward this garden to throw out a handful of clipped leaves.

Then I jumped and gave a little yelp.
(like I do E.V.E.R.Y. time...you'd think I'd get over it by now)

And I said my farewells to Sammy.
Gettin' mighty cold around here lately, probably won't meet up again till next year.

Final harvest of his first crop of carrots.
He asked if we could grow up and be farmers together!
(-:

And, when I told him that Lara's one request during her horrible, bed-ridden weekend of sickness, was carrots...and I was able to give her his to make her feel better...that glorious little smile full of pride made my entire year!

Finally...

Since I stole the idea of rag rollers from a fellow blogger I've decided I can swipe other ideas too. We all had such fun checking out this post that the boys got hot on trying their hand at luring woodland creatures to the deck. Ours must be swooping in at night because we've not had nearly the fun that the original blogger had, (you've got to check that link if you haven't, very cool).
