What's the latest?

Oh, not too much. You?
(-:

Just growin' some cukes, love pickling cukes the best.
Great gardening season this year.

Well, great gardening season for everything but my squash.
Can you believe? Who can't grow zucchini???
I have gorgeous, HUGE leaves, lovely flowers and then...
plop!
Something's taking the flowers off before they can produce.
Dirty scoundrels!!

Na, na, na-na, na...
"Hey Chippy...(the chipmunk)...
I got this one before you did..."
(to be sung in that na, na voice (-:)

Mid July I panicked upon realizing I had NO BEAN PLANTS in the garden!!!
Threw some seeds in the ground, blinked and they got the part-tay started!
Whoo-ha!

And then . . .

Some little baby had to go and learn how to crawl!
This video is at 8 months and three days (7/23), though she was doing bits on her knees a few weeks before this. I think she's definitely the earliest, or one of our earliest, crawlers. She's now taking to pulling herself up on stuff.
C'mon, Liv...can't we just slow down a little bit???

So, yeah, not too much going on. Mornings for the last six weeks have been full of an hour of swim practice for each of the big three (yep, of course each of their age groups practices at a different time, equaling three consecutive hours of practice), while fitting two dive practices (yep, different times again) in the middle of the swim practices (yep, at a different pool from the swim practice). Championships are next week for our entire county (I think 14 clubs) and YEP...each kid's age group is on a different day. So, what does that look like? We'll hang around about three hours each day...oh, four hours including warm ups...for each kid to swim about three races of at most two minutes each.
But you know what...I'd still greatly prefer this schedule to watching soccer on cold, rainy, Saturday mornings (I've never had to yet!).
That's what makes the world go round!
