Did you see a ball fly by here?

Did you know that's a question I get sometimes when I'm in the kitchen doing this-n-that? Yep...and I actually don't flip out because it usually means they're playing tennis over the house. Yep (again)...you read that correctly...playing tennis over the house.

Here's the question asker now.

He used to be outside on the driveway in front of the garage. But then he hit his tennis ball over the roof and it came plummeting into the courtyard.

(the courtyard is the sole reason we bought the house...it's literally an open-air room in the middle of our one level, square shaped house...and let me tell you, our kids think it is soooo much more cool to have a two story house with stairs than a one-level house with a courtyard!!! Hmphh!).

I don't think these pics really get the courtyard across but I was pressed for time.

I think video would have been the way to go.

Ah, well...like I've got time to think all that through! (-:

Anyway, sometimes one kid'll be in the courtyard hittin' the balls back to the kid "outside" the house. Pretty fun and so far the only harm is when the tennis balls get stuck in the courtyard gutters and we have to haul the big ladder in.
