But First . . .
When the mosquitos aren't out . . . and this has been a wicked bad mosquito summer with all this rain and humidity . . . this is my by far absolute favorite spot in our yard!
Fav. or. ite!
If you ever want to be uplifted by the exuberant, amazed, grateful, blown-away retelling of the miracle story I can share of being placed back in the home where my family began, give me a holler. I still, all these six years later still tell this story with the same wide-eyed, amazed praise and adoration for one of God's great blessings in my life. I was placed back in this beloved space during thee most painful, difficult and tragic times in my life so far. And yes..."so far," . . . yes . . . so...far.
Let's not forget the Book of Job was 42 chapters in length.
Spend some time there, maybe all 42 chapters.
I have no idea what tomorrow will bring.
I'm sure there will be hardships and joys.
I don't know how much of each.
But . . .
I do know that, come what may, nothing here on earth, no pains, no defeat, no tragedies, nothing is greater than the unending love God has showered on us by sending His only Son to be born, to suffer and die on our behalf, to rise and to conquer death and all our sorrows for ever and ever!
He did that for us.
Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!
This week, maybe you can find a special spot, or a place, or a time of day that the Lord provides for you that gives you peace, comfort, a time to spend in His Word, a time to pray. If you can't think of one immediately, maybe it would be a good week to quietly discern where that place or time in your day could be. (-:
Now . . . Green, Green, Green, Red . . .
Tomatillos, Green Onions and Romas from the garden.
Prepped and prepared for roasting, oh my!
And . . . for the first time in I have no idea how many years, I bought myself three new knives (I believe that's probably the first time in 20 years or so) and new cutting boards! Both, featured in these here pics. (-: You see, William was gone at band camp all this week and I've learned that Livia is someone who LOVES to shop, regardless of if we buy anything (I'm not a shopper, but I'm adapting (-:), so, I planned to take her to a couple outlet shopping centers this past week and my oh my, that was a lot more fun than I imagined! And, I got knives and cutting boards, yee-haw!
May God bless you and keep you this week and always!
