And I might even have a piece of rhubarb pie for breakfast, so there!

First time in a long time that I've not had to set an alarm for a week day, yay!
I will be going in for a couple hours of work, but at my own leisurely arrival time.
Did you know that some of my alarm times this past year have been: 6:10a.m., 6:15a.m., 6:23a.m. and then I'd return from the 6:00-ish carpool drive and sometimes go back and set a 7:10a.m. alarm...I am NOT a morning person by nature. The 6:23a.m. alarm would be for a 6:30a.m. take off, haha! My carpool sharer came to know that if changes to the carpool needed to be made she could not email me at 6:05a.m. saying, "Let me know if we need to be there before 6:45a.m.," when I had thought she'd be arriving at 6:30a.m...I DO NOT spend time on my email between 6:23 wake up and 6:30 take off and can NOT tell you if I needed you here at 6:30 when you planned to come at 6:45...that must be dealt with the day before...that only happened once. (-:
Anyway, we made it through another school year of go, go, go and tomorrow it's slow, slow, slow.
I've made two rhubarb pies so far this year with my long-held rhubarb. I've used this recipe: https://www.google.com/amp/s/ www.landolakes.com/amp/recipe/ 17417/crumb-top-rhubarb-pie/ and just didn't add the pecans because they're a bit on the pricey side. The second time I made it I added two beaten eggs to the rhubarb mixture as my mom was over and said that's the only way she makes rhubarb pie...makes it a bit creamier, it was a good addition.
So that's that. Rhubarb pies and no alarms.
Nice summer so far!
