Junior!
Drove the two of them to school, wowza!
Hoping that little car that could hangs in there for the year, kind of a huge treat not having to have no bus service and kids in three different schools like last year.
Freshman!
This guy said he had no problem going to school for the first day at a gigantic high school, having not managed to pick up his books yet, nor his schedule. Off I sent him anyway, having not even remembered the one time weeks ago he said he wasn't able to get his books at registration because football practice was starting and the line was too long (didn't help that I wasn't there so it was even further off my mind). But you know what, he totally got through the day, didn't crumble because mom wasn't able to handle his stuff, figured it all out. Way to go, Ben. And...it wasn't until tonight that he mentioned how absolutely petrified he actually was going into that first day of school!
(-;
He said what worried him was the size of the school and that people were saying he wouldn't know anyone. But, knowing this kid and how he makes friends, he discovered quite quickly that wasn't the case at all. Now he's three days in, leaves the house at 7a.m. and returns after football at 7p.m. Tonight he had no problem going to bed at 9:30p.m.
(-;
And...he still doesn't have his books or the correct schedule!
Oh my friends!
By now, you absolutely know how much having a picture like this, taken on the second to last night of our lake season with these five precious dears, means to me.
As I've written about in my journal every day, all summer long,
Praise God from whom all Blessings Flow!
