"It's o.k. Oba, they'll be done soon"
says Livia as we all furiously snap pictures of the cute little duo.
On Saturday, the children and I (SP was out of town) went to meet their newest second cousin, Oba. He'll be leaving to live in Nigeria soon and came with his mother and grandmother to MI to meet his father's (my 1st cousin) side of the family before the departure. Oba's lovely parents had what looked to be a beautiful wedding in Africa in Oct. '08 and, guess what, I found pics online! (-:

Any Guesses?

I figured I could put this here because I dared her to use it as her profile pic on FB and she said she was going to. Far less people read this than see her profile pic I figured. Anyhoo...this is my sister (about 22 years ago...boy, I didn't like figuring that out!). One day we dressed her as "a granny" (now you grandmas out there that don't look like "grannies" don't take offense) and I took her grocery shopping with me. I think I was 17 or 18, something like that. Then, while shopping I would loudly ask her questions, referring to her as "grandma" and she would loudly answer in a "granny" voice.
Can you believe we did that??!!

Awww, now isn't that just sweet? (-:
Back of the picture reads: Aug. 20th, 1973,
E and J on their way to Scott's 3rd birthday.
Can you imagine getting your four year old dressed like that for a birthday party?
I certainly can't!!

O.K., so here's the story:
Lara had a report to do on Hawaii, needing pictures and all. I thought I'd be helpful and see if we had some good scenery shots from our honeymoon trip there almost 16 years ago now. I actually had a few that she deemed acceptable for the display, go me! (-: Then I came across this svelte little picture of my long-ago self and thought Lara might be like "wow, you looked good" or something along those lines. However it went more like this: Lara: Inhales with a horrified gasp, "you used to TUCK your shirt in???!!!"
