Guess who's on Facebook . . .


Yep, MTT himself. Fearless leader of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra with whom we sang Mahler's 2nd Symphony tonight. Hard one for the choir, not so much vocally but physically. We had to sit on metal bleachers with no backs for an hour before we stood to sing, without squirming, itching, scratching...(-:...you get the idea. Fantastic orchestra though (Grammy Award winning) and a cool conductor.

Michael Tilson Thomas Michael Tilson Thomas and the SF Symphony are on the road tomorrow for a five-city U.S. tour, performing Mahler's Second Symphony, a new commission from composer Victor Kissine, and Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto with Christian Tetzlaff. We start 3/18 in Champaign-Urbana, IL and finish 3/25 and 3/26 at Carnegie Hall, with stops in Ann Arbor (3/19 & 20), Philly (3/23), and DC (3/24). Who's in?
