Isn't that some gorgeous lettuce?
(-:
Wow, all natural, organic, home grown lettuce!
It even seeded itself or over wintered or something.
I never planted any lettuce seed and bam, up it came earlier this spring.
It struck me the other day though, while I was "up-closing" for those great, green shots of lettuce. . .
How social media, marketing, magazines and all the rest can really sell the pretty stuff, eh?
Ha!
One would never have guessed this was the full picture surrounding those lush and lovely greens, would one. (-: A forty year old air conditioner (still working, well...once we discovered I intentionally left the breaker off last fall during some power outage moments, telling myself I'd just turn it on next summer when we needed it...then having the air-conditioning guy charge me to come over and remind me of that great plan and then charge me again to flip the breaker to "on"....Oy!) . . . and some piddly little green onion sprouts and some spinach squeaking out, "I think I can, I think I can!"
P.S. Never been more relieved though to "waste" money on my air-conditioning guy though because, whew, my close to $100 moment could have been in the thousands for a new air conditioner!
Perspective.

Here's a guy with four lawn mowing jobs and an odds and ends job who just got his "I passed segment 1" paper from the driver's ed class today! Three of the people he cuts lawns for are named Mary and the other one is Meenu, at least another M name, haha. I keep finding the jobs on my favorite "social media" site...The Nextdoor App (well, one was from church too). I find the job, send him a text and he takes it. I got one more sent to him today, but no reply. We'll see if he bites. At first he said he was saving up for an airsoft gun but I'm also trying to convince him to open a Roth IRA and start his retirement savings now, hahaha! Can you imagine if you started saving for retirement when you were almost 15??!!
P.S. Yes, he swept the driveway and yes, long shaggy hair is in among the guys in this area. Hasn't seemed to have mattered for his lawn cutting business. (-:
That's all she wrote!
