OK . . . Winter, stuff, winter, stuff, winter, stuff, winter . . .

Downloaded the pictures tonight, will add text hopefully soon...
(-:

We had the best winter for fun in the snow!
Pretty sure this was late Jan or early Feb.

Been a long time since we had enough for kids to make snow forts...and have space to make a fridge for their pink lemonades...they didn't even explode.

William's "all-in" approach to fire making during our annual February trip to Crystal Lake/Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Top of Sleeping Bear Dunes for the annual sledding trip. Half sand, half snow this year on the dunes.  So strange with all the snow we got throughout the winter...and into spring.
I think it's funny that I almost submitted this pic for something, was convinced it was just a good, happy picture, so set to send it along, and then caught this fine print..."no hats" in the pic...well, this thing's practically all hat!! Had to find another one! Ha.

One day in March I was proud of myself for jumping into the new beyond and started scanning my own groceries while I shopped.  For the life of me I can't remember to put them in the bag as I go.  Their idea is "scan and go" but for me it's more like, "scan and hang around the check out area figuring everything out while bagging." I still like "scan and go" though!

Then, after our first false spring we got a huge dumping of snow.
It was fun, SO much snow...and hey, it was March so that's o.k., ...kinda...

Well, it did break some trees and branches...that wasn't super cool.

I'm grateful to have a 15 year old boy who likes to chain saw and an occasionally working chainsaw. He ripped through both of these one afternoon...after the snow...

Ooooo...

Ahhhhh...

I so love this wind chime still and this winter day was so beautiful with it's blue, blue sky and white, white snow.  Still March, so it as still ok...kinda...

Another snow fall later in March.
Very artistic and all.
We had Texas on our minds though so we could take it.

One day, my brother sent me this awesome shot he took in downtown Detroit.
I play piano.
He rides bikes.
That needs to be framed.

I took this to show our Texas family that we were about to go visit after a two -day drive. Wanted to show them the LAST of our snow, this was very late March after all.

Then, we got to Texas to visit my brother's family and despite the kids being sick for the first part of our week together, SO enjoyed a relaxing, slow pace and warm, warm weather!

Good Friday with the blue bonnets and the Giese's after meeting them at their church for a Good Friday service and before a lovely supper together in their home. Harrison blinked...

We had 20 minutes left on the "pools gonna close" clock when we arrived at the Drury when day 1 of the drive back concluded.  Hurry Up and Swim!!!
We woke up to Easter bags filled by the bunny in the hotel room.
Clever, tired, bunny!

I thought this was cool and can't believe with the two days straight of me being the only driver, I managed to have the where with all to get this pic.  Check out the arrival time and how many hours it should take...cool!

Out of order here, but back in Texas we dyed eggs and had an easter egg hunt, with some trauma, but I won't elaborate...I need to rethink what I thought was a super fun idea for prizes in the plastic eggs...funny thing is, I was supposed to rethink doing that idea the last time I did it a couple Easters ago...I forgot to rethink it, ask me in person if you ever get a chance...

Today . . . April 17th! Now this...NOT fun...
This past weekend we had a beaut of an ice storm which kept us from getting to hockey practice, ironic I thought...coulda just skated up the highway to the rink!
