And the day after I registered for the state meet . . .

We flew to CANCUN!!!
(Can you even believe?)

Grandma and Poppie have a membership at a resort in Cancun and over the years have enjoyed taking their children's families there for holiday (Yeah, I know...I just like how that sounds, European and all (-:).
This year was our year!

The drive approaching the Sunrise section of Moon Palace
(yes, that bush is cut into the shape of an alligator...lots of signs in certain areas requesting us northern yahoos to LEAVE THEM (real alligators that is...not alligator carved bushes!) ALONE, THEY'RE NOT REALLY SUITABLE FOR PETTING!!! (-:)

The foyer of our two bedroom, three bathroom Presidential Suite!

The Gondola, where we'd stop in for breakfast most mornings.

These guys were found hanging out around the grounds.
Great source of entertainment, for some!

Flowers, flowers, flowers in full, vivid-color bloom.
All day, all the time.

Hoping to get some kid pics up next, just setting the stage here. (-: In the mid 80's every day, blue skies, not a drop of rain, all-inclusive meals/drinks/desserts/room service, a Kid's Club with pool table, giant chess set, ping pong, arcade games, tennis and pools, pools, pools through out the entire resort.

To quote Harrison, "I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get used to Michigan again."
(p.s. Our first day home today is gray, rainy and 46 degrees...welcome home, Harrison!)

Last interesting note. I spoke to about six different people (guests or groups of guests) while there and five of the six were from Michigan!!! Rough winter I think!
