Well, I for one have discovered that two years is the perfect length to "taper" before a big swim meet! (-:
Tapering, in the context of sports, refers to the practice of reducing, or tapering off, exercise in the days just before an important competition.[1] Tapering is customary in many endurance sports, such as the marathon, athletics and swimming. For many athletes, a significant period of tapering is essential for optimal performance. The tapering period frequently lasts as much as a week or more.
After my two year taper I decided to swim the Brighton Meet with my Masters team this past Sunday (second swim meet in my life, first one being two years ago). Boy, what a great place to boost your ego (after giving everyone and their mother your excuses as to why you're going to swim slow or how you're just happy to be there)...anyway, yes, you do in fact see three first place ribbons. And no, I was NOT the only competitor in those events, there was always exactly one other person, or relay team! (-: You do actually swim in a heat of at least five people, but then you place against your age group...and I chose events that I thought would have the least 40-45yr old women, I was right! Now I'm "getting ready" for the State Meet in April. Might squeeze in a work out or two before then. (-:
Let's see, what else...

The Freebies are back in our pathetic excuse for a newspaper.
I love to find a "treasure" or two in the Freebies.
Although I was tempted to call on the $10 Tigger (as in Winnie the Pooh) sweatshirt,
I really wanted the 4x5 "trailor" (also known as a "trailer" in edited newspapers).
Didn't get it.
and . . .
We're all excited that Lara is occasionally learning Korean from her friends in school.
(I wish there was a sarcasm font)
She recently came home and shared her latest learning, practice if you will and you too can write:
Poop Rainbow!
Also . . .
Can you guess?
Yep, keeping the baby out of the drawers and cupboards.
Makes for some fun strumming when you're bored too.
Still going here . . .
We've still got kids enjoying the ol' bubble bath.
Oooo, have I got a couple great "exiting the tub"pics of Mr. Bubbles here for the high school graduation slide show,
can't wait!
(-:
Let's wrap it up . . .
This gal was just having a little "snow day" fun,
innocent enough, enjoying the day . . .
but she, as I am well familiar with, has three brothers.
What do you think comes next?
Did you guess?
Yep, snow ball thrown from behind, lands right on her face!
Oh, man...Grrrrrrr
And with that, you have the latest...well...a teeny, tiny bit of the latest...

Love the ribbons, great job Julie! Katie learned how to write her name in Korean (her BBF who is from S. Korea). She has since moved to Singapore though. Love the pics, sad to see all the snow since we most likely will be back in MI!!! We will all have to get together this time if we do.
Wow, Erin! Yeah, let us know if you get back. We could go sledding at the same Plymouth park that we tried to "water park" at! Would that be a permanent move back or a holding place for your next move? Thought I remembered hearing Germany was next after Cairo?
