1. Quick, don't blink...the boys are playing chess...quietly...and I didn't bribe them or yell to get them to do it!!!
2. I've always been intimidated by pesto (did you ever think someone would write such a thing??!!) but just got over that two nights ago. Pesto recipes always seem to have pine nuts or one other ingredient I never have so I never make it. The other night I just decided to put a bunch of my basil leaves, extra-virgin olive oil, shredded parmigiano-reggiano (a block of that lasts For.Ever in the fridge) and some sea salt in my mini-processor and oh my...what an amazing spread. I put it on my grilled (home grown) eggplant, tomatoes and my hamburger. OUTSTANDING!!
3. When Harrison starts to talk about Pokemon characters and what they can do it's like he's speaking a completely foreign language. I wish I could type out some of what he says to give you a flavor for it, but I barely even know when to say "oh"...and..."I see"...and..."my isn't that something" at the right places.
4. LIVIA IS NINE MONTHS OLD TODAY AND IS STARTING TO TAKE STEPS ALONG FURNITURE!! I'm of the mind that if she can do all this big girl stuff she should also be able to SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT ALREADY!!!!
5. Some days I have input overload. (get it? too much kid noise)
I wonder how a mom from the 1950's would phrase that?
