Though this may just look like a bunch of weeds what we have here are perfectly happy baby tomato plants (center, spiky leaves), spinach (top right) and morning glories (left side) growing in the rocks between my two raised garden beds. Seeds fallen from last fall. I've decided I'm going to pick the spinach and rip everything else out!
First real success with peas ever!
(I finally got them in early enough)
Lucky boy got the very first one!
Mmmm, mmm!
Blogger is tempting me with a plethora of new designs, layouts and backgrounds for the ol' blog. You never know what you might log on to if I find a little extra time on my hands (oh, ha ha ha...that's funny...think we'll be lookin' at the good old, sturdy blue bar for at least 91.5 more days...who's counting?? (-:)

I am jealous of your garden! We were going to try to plant one this year, but are quickly realizing that the perfect spot in our backyard is not so perfect because it is so shaded. And, in fact, our entire yard is probably too shady.
I have been meaning to come by and thank you for the laundry soap suggestion forever...and now you've given it to me twice! So thank you! I have laundry soap on hand for another couple weeks and I hope to make my own sometime soon before it runs out. :)
Nice to hear from you, Lara. You know, even a big pot (I have one on my deck that's about three feet high and 2.5 feet round) can grow a good bit of treats. I enjoyed spinach this spring, have a cherry tomato plant in for the summer and broccoli is currently doing it's best to produce something (that one's an experiment this year).
Hope the detergent works for you, didn't remember giving it to you before, but I don't remember a lot of things these days. (-:
BTW, I think a subtle green paint would look great in the fireplace room.
