Part of me smiles a bit when I hear that question in reference to my latest dinner preparations. (-: Tonight the peanut gallery witnessed my degilling of some gorgeous portobello mushrooms and couldn't quite stomach it! And I have to say, I picked a horrible recipe and pretty close to ruined five shrooms and a cup and a half of balsamic vinegar. Escapes me why I thought that recipe would be good in the first place (definitely need to water/oil down the vinegar). Take a look for fun: Marinated Portobellos
Tip of the day:
Use a melon baller to scrape off the gills. I've always used a spoon and just tonight it dawned on me that the sharper edge of the latter utensil would make it much easier. And it did!

For an extremely novice shutterbug, that is a cool thing to see. Both these photos were taken this evening seconds after each other and they're so dramatically different just because of the flash. Cool!
