A great little diversion for mom

One way to find a little time for yourself (especially necessary for moms w/little kids)

1.  Plan to grocery shop at night (usually not my preference but it was all that would work for this week so I hatched a little plan for myself during the day that made it more appealing.)

2.  Make dinner at home very low key that night (I arranged for everyone to finish remaining frozen pizzas and various other left overs, then I didn't partake myself...well o.k...one small piece of cheese pizza made it my way)

3.  Help put a couple kids to bed before you leave (or not, depends how your day was (-: I felt with my plan I could muster through)

4.  Grocery shop & when checking out buy one of your favorite magazines from the check out line (I'm slightly bothered that I chose "Good Housekeeping."  Can you believe, during my escape time?  Anyway...I liked it just the same)

5.  Stop by a nice restaurant on your way home, bring your magazine in with you and enjoy a quiet meal and some peaceful reading!  (I thoroughly enjoyed the Jap Chae
I had at BeWon, a cozy little Korean restaurant on our side of town.  Of course, you'd have to be someone that wouldn't mind sitting in a restaurant by yourself, and I am.  I was only there for a total of 30 minutes but it was all I needed to recharge and return home to clean the house - we're having some international U-M grad students over for dinner Thurs. night and Lara's birthday party on Sat!)
